AUXILIARY
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
First
allow me to congratulate the 2005 Officers of both the League and
Auxiliary upon
their installation January 10th. We
thank National Senior Vice President Ruth Moyse for installing the
Auxiliary Officers. It was our
pleasure to provide refreshments for the Installation.
We
look forward to doing the same at the February League meeting, which will
be attended by National Commandant Helen Hicks and other dignitaries.
This is a tremendous honor for the League since the National
Commandant is not able to visit every detachment.
Because
of the chill, we will be meeting at Brenda Perkins’ home, 16 Pajill
Drive, Marietta on February 15th at 7 p.m. Call 426-2243 for
directions. For that meeting
we will be filling buckets for the tsunami victims for delivery to the
Mennonite Central Committee. Call
me (394-9586) if you need a list of items. Also bring individual tissue
packs and candy hearts for our hospitalized veterans at Lebanon VA
Hospital.
Congratulations
to Brenda Perkins, our 2004 recipient of the John J. Pisani, Jr. MCLA VAVS
Award. We are always looking for new members.
Many hands make the work lighter for all. Call Senior Vice
President Judy Major 394-1014.
